 We have listed popular Engine build options on built units. We will be pleased to advise and quote for options based on your requirements 

We offer a first rate technical back up on all our engines, settings and performance related  options including carburation and ignition.

Spec list: Our Engines consist of the following (unless stated otherwise) - Block, Crankshaft, Con rods and pistons, Flywheel and Clutch, Avonbar engines are built using only the best quality components.

Our engines are built with billet Piper Camshaft, Heavy duty cam followers, Heavy duty engine bearings, mains and big ends, thrusts, Hi Capacity Hi pressure Oil pump, Duplex timing chain kit, clutch plate, Oil seals and engine gasket set..

We do offer options on all our built engines to suit your requirements, please contact us for variations and prices.

  • Engine 1275 based Fast Road Engine
    APEK1221

    These superb Built 1293, 1310 or 1330 are machined and produced to the same high standards as the bigger 1380 except the block is not offset bored.These Built engines with Piper 255 and GT6/! stage 4 head power from 85/89 bhp and great torque depending on carburation  Parts include a lightened flywheel.  (We recommend fitting the steel flywheel and backplate for ultaa fast 100 bhp + engines )  Supplied with a choice of fast road camshaft 255,270,285 etc Our APEK Avonbar Engines uses cast Cooper spec pistons.9.75 compression. You can upgrade the pistons to Omega Pistons at extra cost. Please call or e-mail our sales for all engine upgrades. All power Units are supplied on an Exchange basis.Please state which engine size you require when ordering.

    Spec list: Our Built MPi Engine consist of the following (unless stated otherwise) 

    All parts are checked for quality before machining takes place, blocks are correctly re-bored on a production boring mill ( not a clamp on ) for accuracy and oil honed on a digital readout honing centre to the correct finished size as required. Blocks are refaced then de-plugged and chemically cleaned, new camshaft bearings core plugs and oil plugs fitted,  crankshafts are correctly re-ground and stroke corrected, the rotating unit is dynamically balanced.Connecting rods are checked for size and re-circled if necessary.New con rod bolts and nuts fitted.

    After machining all parts are thoroughly cleaned again and re-inspected before assembly.

    These engines are built with Omega pistons, fitted new con rod bolts and nuts, billet Piper fast road cross drilled Camshaft, Heavy duty cam followers, Heavy duty tri metal  engine bearings, mains,big ends and thrusts, Hi Capacity Hi pressure Oil pump, simplex timing chain kit, clutch plate, Oil seals and engine gasket set.

    The build includes the correct camshaft timing 

     

  • Engine 1310 +040 SPi/MPi

    Spec list: Our Built SPi and MPi Engines consist of the following (unless stated otherwise)

  • Mini Engine 1293 Ultimate Hi Output 1293 A+

    Specification of our 'Hi Output' Engine.Supplied with Omega lightweight Pistons, Block drilled 11 stud, Steel Cap set with 4 bolt main ARP studs. Line bored, the same Hi spec machining as with all our engines but with the addition with threaded gallery plugs,  new core plugs, Crankshaft is Wedged Lightened Cross drilled and Ni -Temp heat treated, choice of Race 649/310/475 Billet Camshaft with lightweight cam followers, Lightenend polished Con Rods, ARP Con Rod Bolts, Ultra Light Steel flywheel & Backplate. Vernier Steel or Alloy Duplex kit, Ideal for Track days, Hill Climbs, Sprints and Competition.

  • Engine A+ 1293 Ultimate Competition Engine

    All Steel Engine. 

     Supplied with New Billet EN40B Lightweight Crankshaft, Forged Omega lightweight Full floating Pistons, Block drilled 11 stud, Line bored, the same Hi spec machining as our normal engine kits but with the addition with threaded gallery plugs new core plugs, choice of any Race 649/310/475 Billet Camshaft,Steel Con Rods by Arrow, ARP Con Rod Bolts, Super Light Steel flywheel 4.5lb & Backplate.2.0lb. Steel Cap set with 4 bolt main Centre cap. ARP studs. Vernier Duplex kit, Ideal for track days and Competition.

    This is the Ultimate in Competition Engines, additional option available

  • 1380 Engine, Omega

    This built Avonbar engine can be fitted to later cars that were originally fitted with the Verto clutch assembly but a  clutch cover conversion kit is needed The Clutch  kit consists of : Early long clutch arm, centre plunger and clutch release bearing.  

    1. Block. The block is properly offset bored, plateau honed and sufaced, chemically cleaned New core plugs, oil gallery plugs and camshaft bearings fitted. All Block threads re-tapped.The block painted.
    2. Crankshaft. The crankshaft is re-ground to optimum size and heat treated.
    3. Flywheel assembly New Steel flywheel and backplate Orange or Grey diaphragm .
    4.Con Rods fitted with ARP bolts
    5. Omega cast 73.5 Pistons NOTE: Upgrade available to forged 73.5 Omega pistons for track days at extra cost.
    Parts include. Billet Camshaft of your choice, 8 followers, set of heavy duty engine bearings,mains and big ends, thrusts, Hi Capacity Hi pressure Oil pump, Duplex timing chain kit ,Clutch plate,oil seals and engine gasket set.

  • SPI/MPi 1380 engine Omega.

    This Avonbar built power unit will fit all late Verto Injection Mini's from 1995 up to 2001. The Engine is supplied with a fast road Hi-torqu camshaft so that the emisions are within tolerance as specified by DOT.

    We recommend the fitting of the larger 48/52mm throttle body.

    This unit is for the SPi Or MPi The flywheels are different between the SPi and MPi due to the reluctpr timing ring differences and are not interchangeable. Please inform sales when ordering or contact us on 01483-560156 to discuss your requirement if you are unsure.

  • Mini 1380 Engine Omega

    Our 1380 built engines included the following quality machining and parts

    1. Block. The block is properly offset bored, plateau honed and sufaced, chemically cleaned New core plugs, oil gallery plugs and camshaft bearings fitted. All Block threads retapped.The block painted.
    2. Crankshaft. The crankshaft is re-ground to optimum size and ni- tempered/heat treated.
    3. Flywheel The flywheel is fully lightened.
    4.Con Rods Pistons, Flywheel and Crankshaft fully balanced.
    5. Pistons fitted to Rods ready for assembly.
    Parts include. Billet Camshaft of your choice, 8 followers, set of heavy duty engine bearings,mains and big ends, thrusts, Hi Capacity Hi pressure Oil pump, Duplex timing chain kit ,Clutch plate,oil seals and engine gasket set to complete the build.
